The events of Civil War II #1 set the Marvel Universe on the path to war. After War Machine died in a battle with Thanos prompted by the precognitive Inhuman Ulysses, Tony Stark is left reeling and looking to strike back, and he’s willing to risk war with the Inhumans to do it. Seeing his chance, Tony infiltrates New Attilan, but Captain Marvel warned Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans, to expect Tony’s visit.
As the Marvel Universe reels from the events of the first issue, Tony Stark decides to take matters (and the law) into his own hands and declares war on the Inhumans. But not everyone agrees with Tony’s perspective and they are willing to die trying to stop him.
