Marvel's Greatest Comics #84 (January 1980)

Marvel’s Greatest Comics #84 reprints Fantastic Four #104 (November 1970) in which the Fantastic Four team with the Sub-Mariner to battle Magneto.

Magneto has captured both the Invisible Girl and Prince Namor’s love Lady Dorma in an attempt to force the Sub-Mariner to assist him with his invasion of New York City and the entire Earth! Namor pretends to side with Magneto and ultimately assists the Fantastic Four in a dramatic surprise attack on the Great Lawn in Central Park that frees the women and defeats the Master of Magnetism. The cover to this reprint uses John Romita, Sr.’s original art with a tweak to the background color scheme and the removal of the regal red tapestry behind the containment cylinders in order to reveal the New York skyline.
